Overview

What are blackout blinds?

Alberta summers bring very early sunrises and late sunsets. Blackout blinds help bedrooms, nurseries and shift-workers' rooms stay dark when you need rest.

We offer blackout in roller, cellular and zebra styles, and can add side channels or a cassette to reduce light leaking around the edges.

Blackout Blinds FAQs

Will blackout blinds make the room completely dark?

The fabric blocks light, but small gaps at the edges can let some light in. Inside-mount with side channels, or outside-mount overlapping the frame, gives the darkest result.

Do blackout blinds help with heat?

Yes, they reduce solar heat gain in summer. Blackout cellular shades also add insulation in winter.
